Workorb, the startup redefining how companies in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industries leverage project data, has announced the successful completion of its seed funding round, which was finalized this past summer. The round was led by Metavallon VC and Freedom of Innovation Ventures, founded by Sang Kyun Cha, creator of SAP Hana.
AEC firms generate vast amounts of data across decades, spanning Requests For Quotations (RFQs), proposals, project reports, designs and Building Information Models (BIM). Despite the value embedded in these data, a significant portion remains untapped. Workorb’s pioneering technology processes, organizes, and curates these data automatically, without human intervention, transforming them into AI-ready assets.
With this approach, Workorb enables AEC companies to optimize critical business processes, starting with business development. Its platform automates and streamlines tasks such as RFP evaluation, response drafting, quality assurance, and contract review, resulting in increased efficiency, reduced manual work, and improved outcomes.
After working closely with its AEC design partners to build and refine its product, Workorb is now ready for the next phase of its journey. The newly raised capital will be utilized to expand sales and product development efforts and enhance its teams in Toronto and Athens, accelerating the company’s mission to unlock the potential of AEC firms’ data.
«We are thrilled to have Metavallon and FOI Ventures as partners», said Nick Koudas, CEO of Workorb. «Their support reinforces our vision of enabling AEC firms to fully leverage their data, streamline essential processes, and drive business growth».
